AI Ethical Non-Use Policy
At Filter of Hope, we are passionate about technology. Using the same physical processes as kidney dialysis, hollow-membrane water filters, we have a high-capacity, successful solution to share clean water.
That’s why our supporters enable us to give away these household water filters via local churches in Latin America and church planters throughout the 10/40 Window. This technology blesses people with clean water for the first time and provides a perfect illustration to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, the living water.
When technology is used for good and the spread of the gospel, we embrace it.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the buzziest technological leap of this century. However, at Filter of Hope, we are committed to using AI only when we can do so in a way that honors both those we serve and minister with and the faithful Christians who Go, Give, and Pray with us.
All marketing materials and fundraising/grantwriting documents originated by Filter of Hope’s headquarters staff will NOT use any AI generated images to represent our work.
- We believe this is the best choice for us to honor the people we serve and the local churches and church planters we work with.
- We believe this is the most trustworthy choice for us to honor our supporters who Go, Give, and Pray with Filter of Hope.
The ONLY exception permitted to this policy is when a church planting partner in a dangerous location has requested the use of anonymization of their names and images in order to safeguard their ministry work and people. Any use of this exception must be approved each time by both our Unreached People Groups program director & our chief marketing officer and will always be clearly disclosed to our readers if used.
We are also grateful for the multi-talented ministry staff who enable us to show God’s work around the world through their photography and videography.
You can see many of their photos and videos featured on our Instagram page and our YouTube channel.
